The World

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil (Prov 8.13). Often, however, we align ourselves with the evil of this world; we are enticed and we consent (Prov 1.10). While the physical world is still God's possession, it is marred by sin. People aligned with the world-system are stirred to rebellion against God. Participating in and befriending this system makes us contrary to the purposes of God. Some will often want a proof-text for why they cannot participate in a certain activity or wear certain clothing. Everything must be spelled out children. Those aligning themselves with the LORD are driven by principles in the Word of God. They are the radical, mature believers in our world today - the ones eschewed and hated by the world (John 15.18-19). I'd like to stand with them.
