Everlasting Light

The history and future of Israel are linked by chains of tremendous hardship.  But God will make her an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations (Isaiah 60.15).  Nations will flock to her when the Lord Jesus establishes His kingdom …when they see Him as their Messiah.  Desolate, forsaken, and hated now but restored to an eternal excellence in the future.  It is important to realize that national or ethnic identities are no longer determiners for entrance into Christ’s kingdom.  One’s standing before Jesus is the only determiner.  As you struggle under trying circumstances …when you feel forsaken, hated, and alone – remember that in a little while “He who is coming will come and will not delay” (Heb 10.37).  The day is coming when our “sun shall no longer go down …for the LORD will be [our] everlasting light, and the days of [our] mourning shall be ended” (60.20).
