Set Love

Thinking of a phrase in Psalm 91.14:  God provides a refuge and deliverance for us “because [we have] set [our] love upon Him.”  It is one thing to know God – very important.  It is quite another to set our love upon Him.  If we are to set our love upon God this morning, we must do so in a way that indicates that He indeed sways the heart and moves our lives along according to His will.  Since my love is set upon Him, I never imagine Him the moral monster that some make Him out to be …it never dawns on the one who loves God that His justice and holiness are eschewed.  No, we have set our love upon Him.  He is always good …always a present help in our time of great need.
