The Rapture as a Distinct Event

Rapture

Revelation in Glory

All believers are swept up into the air to be with Christ

No rapture of believers occurs; those becoming believers during the Tribulation populate the Millennial Kingdom if they are still alive

Raptured believers go to heaven; Christ comes for His own; coming in the air; to claim His Bride; only believers will see Him

Raptured believers return with the LORD from heaven – part of His armies (Rev 19); Christ comes with His own; comes to the earth; coming with His Bride; every eye shall see Him

The earth will not be judged at the time of the rapture – contra Camping

The earth will be judged and the righteous rule of King Jesus will begin

The Rapture is an imminent event; it is the very next thing on the prophetic calendar, nothing need occur before it happens; no signs need fulfillment

The Revelation in Glory follows definite and specific signs including a 7 year tribulation period

The Rapture is not in the OT

The Revelation in Glory is predicted many times in the OT

The Rapture is for both dead and living believers

The Revelation in Glory affects all mankind

The Rapture occurs before the day of wrath

The Revelation in Glory concludes the day of wrath

Satan is not referred to in NT depictions of the Rapture

Satan is bound when Christ is revealed in great glory

Tribulation begins

Millennial Kingdom begins
