Sometimes it gets rough in ministry. You often struggle to see the forest through the trees. When we get to the end of our lives, only two things will follow us into eternity: souls we bring to Christ and our discipleship of others (eternally-minded relationships).
Our school attended a recent fine arts competition and three of our boys (Josue Guzman, David Asaf, and Philip Armstrong - right to left next to me) took first place awards in topical, expository, and evangelistic preaching respectively. I was thrilled to no end. These boys preached solid messages and I'm hopeful that this is a harbinger of things to come.
Also, I'd like to mention that in the midst of many personal and family trials, God has been gracious in helping us lead people to His blessed Son. Our evangelism ministry is really starting to take off. Of course, maybe that's why we're facing the trials.
